The future is bright for FG Wilson

Change is constant but one thing remains – FG Wilson’s commitment to our customers: designing and manufacturing quality generator sets, delivering them when and where you need them, with the level of service you have come to expect through our expert Global Dealer Network.

Staying ahead in any business requires flexibility in response to changing customer needs and a fluctuating economic landscape. FG Wilson has been taking the necessary steps to ensure our business adapts alongside the evolving power industry – how?
  • So that you can depend on the availability of our quality product, we are investing in the establishment of product distribution centres in key locations around the world – the first of which in Zeebrugge, Belgium, opened in July this year
  • Our focus on quality remains as we continue to invest in the Research & Development of our next generation of world-class products – more of which you will hear about in the coming months and years
  • Providing you with value for money through cost effective, high quality production is crucial. We are therefore relocating a portion of our manufacturing operations to our state of the art facility in Tianjin, China. Regrettably, this move has dealt a blow to our Northern Ireland operations and workforce in the form of redundancies
  • Ongoing development of front line customer services – pre-sales support, installation, commissioning and post sale services, in conjunction with our Global Dealer Network – has never been stronger.

Over the course of our 46-year history as industry leaders, FG Wilson has evolved to meet customer needs and industry challenges – we are continuing to do whatever it takes to remain your number one choice for power support.

Yours Sincerely,

Tony McAllister
Director & General Manager

Opportunity in AID

FG Wilson recently exhibited at AIDF 2012 - a Global Aid Exhibition in Washington DC.

With over 1,700 visitors, we took the opportunity to promote the capabilities of our global distribution network - in particular, the after market offering of our Dealers in Africa and the Middle East.

At the event, US Government department, USAID presented a session on their 'procurement reform' supporting entities working more closely with local companies to ensure that revenue remains within the purchasing country. USAID have been working with international communities - Africa being an especially active area for them.

We received a positive response to our brand offering and our experience in the aid field. Having distributed Dealer contact details, we are confident that enquiries will be converted into sales in the near future.

Dieselec Thistle exhibit at Aquaculture UK

Dieselec Thistle, one of our UK Dealers, recently exhibited at Aquaculture UK, the UK's premier aquaculture event and conference, held bi-annually at the MacDonald Highland Resort, Aviemore, Scotland.

Aquaculture UK 2012 hosts the latest products and innovations regarding aquaculture technology from fish feed and fish health through to equipment, processing and distribution. At this year's event over 70 companies exhibited with more than 1,000 visitors attending from 27 countries.

Having extensive experience within this sector from powering vital feed and light systems through to barges, Dieselec Thistle exhibited at the event, showcasing a P88-1 with sector related upfits.

Providing feedback on the event, Brian Muirie comments, "As many of the main players within this sector are located in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, this event provided a great opportunity for face to face networking with new and existing clients. We are pleased with the outcome having already supplied several generators with further enquiries pending."
