$26M FG Wilson Investment

FG Wilson is delighted to have opened our new Engineering Centre of Excellence at our manufacturing facility in Larne, Northern Ireland.

With UK government support, $26m has been spent on state of the art testing and validation facilities. This will not only significantly improve FG Wilson's product validation process but will also enable us to develop better products, faster and quicker than the competition.

The Duke of York, the UK's representative for International Trade and Investment, opened the multi-million dollar investment, which it is hoped will boost the local economy.

Dr. Mark Sweeney, FG Wilson Managing Director commented,

"This is an extremely important investment for FG Wilson. It will enhance sustainability at the company, one of our major corporate objectives, by streamlining the product development process and improving the performance and efficiency of our generator sets."

"We are very grateful to Invest Northern Ireland for their support and we look forward to further development at Larne in the next few years," Dr. Sweeney added.

During his tour of the company, the Duke of York met staff involved in product validation, technical development and services engineering before unveiling a plaque which commemorates the opening of Engineering Centre of Excellence.
