Connecting With Consultants

Our Dealer FG Wilson FZE recently held a Consultant Seminar Event in Dubai in conjunction with our Power Solutions Sales Support Team. Held over three days in the Ramada Hotel in Dubai, the event aimed to increase the delegates' general technical knowledge of generator sets, with an emphasis on Solutions Projects. The Seminar also provided an important networking opportunity for FG Wilson FZE's Sales Engineers to build contacts with both the local and international consultants who attended the event.

The content covered by our Solutions Sales Support Team over the three days included electrical subjects such as control systems and HV alternators, and mechanical topics including cooling, acoustics, exhaust and fuel systems design. FG Wilson's Power Solutions Team has successfully conducted Consultant Seminars in conjunction with local Dealers in various locations throughout the world. Events have been held recently in Pakistan, Spain and throughout the UK. This was the first such event held in Dubai and it was received with enthusiasm by the attending consultants who were eager for follow-up seminars in the near future.

Please contact your local dealer for further information regarding assistance with solutions projects.

Power World Exhibition, Johannesburg

Our South African Dealer, FGW Generators, recently attended the Power World Exhibition in Johannesburg. Running over three days from the 21st - 23rd April 2009, FGW Generators used the exhibition as part of an overall marketing campaign to grow market share in the region.

Pat Saunders, Managing Director commented, "As energy needs in South Africa continue in a growing economy, demand is high and with a generating set market estimated at approximately US$100m there is a great opportunity to increase our market share".

FGW Generators chose a prominent front facing eight by six metre stand, open at three sides with a hospitality area and plasma screen to run their corporate profile film.

Showcased was a P22-4 and a P150P-2 both in enclosures with supporting literature customised with FGW Generators' company name and contact details. In support of the exhibition, FGW Generators advertised in the show guide, and placed an online advertisement in Engineering News, a South African Trade Journal for the Energy Sector, during the week leading up to the exhibition.

A new website was also launched, www.fgwilson.co.za, using one of the new templates from the FG Wilson Dealer Website Solution, to assist with resulting enquiries. The website displays company information and their company profile video whilst showcasing their full product range, service and aftermarket capabilities. "By utilising a marketing campaign, supporting exhibition activity with advertising and a new web presence, we have increased brand awareness and reached a wide target market with our key messages of supplying quality product, solutions, service and parts", commented Pat Saunders. "We are positive this will enable us to turn potential leads successfully into sales and achieve the overall aim of increasing our market share."
